History

For more than 15 years, our experienced team has helped homes and businesses throughout California be create safe, beautiful and functional environments. When we first began our journey, we served customers, both big and small, providing maintenance and repair services. It was a joy to help solve electrical mysteries and provide maintenance that help keep businesses running.

Our experience grew when we were invited to provide emergency generator power for one of the largest corporations on the planet. It was a thrill arriving at shut down business with hundreds of employees and help them reopen their doors by running electrical cables and connecting them to the stores electrical panels. Oftentimes, these businesses would be the only ones open in town during extended power outages.

Enjoying the adventure, we decided to remain out on the road and help with retrofit and remodel projects across the United Sates. In one year we traveled throughout 15 different states completing remodels and full-store LED retrofits for our commercial customers.

As delightful as travels across the States can be, the beauty of the Central Coast kept drawing us back home. So we decided to plant ourselves in Grover Beach, California, where we can meet the needs of the residents of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties.

Our Team

Pieter Neethling is the new owner of Baker Street Electric. His journey into the trades first began by helping his friend with a few some small electrical projects. This curiosity quickly turned into a passion for him as he developed both his technical skills and electrical knowledge. Over the course of his career, Pieter would step into managing largescale projects and leading a team of technicians. His leadership helped his former company become nationally recognized as a premium electrical vendor. Now as the owner of Baker Street Electric, Pieter and his team are excited to serve you with the same passion, care and attention to detail that they have consistently offered before.

Sean Cox has been involved with the construction field his entire life. Sean first followed his father’s footsteps in becoming a carpenter with the union, helping to build high rise buildings in the Los Angeles region. He would transition to the electrical trade when he moved to Redding, California, for ministry school. Since then, Sean had been working in the Electrical field for more than 15 years. Sean’s technical experience, and wide array of construction experience prove to be an invaluable contribution to our company.

Austin Mendes got his first taste of the electrical field while working with heaters and air conditioners as a HVAC technician. The moment he joined out team, his passion for excellence, safety and professionalism shined. Austin has been quick to learn the fundamentals of the trade and has eagerly developed his technical skills whether in the field or at home.
